What subjects do you specialize in?

I specialize in foreign languages, specifically Mandarin Chinese. However, I also tutor in Russian, Mongolian, English, writing, and Anthropology. I have a strong background in foreign language learning and anthropology. With my lessons, I have helped numerous students improve their cultural and linguistic knowledge, grades, and confidence.

How long have you been a tutor?

I have been a tutor for over 5 years. I have taught Univeristy level classes for already 1 year. As a tutor, I have gained extensive experience working with students of different age groups, levels, and learning styles. My years of teaching and in-country experience have helped me develop a curriculum and effective immersive learning strategies and techniques that help students gain confidence in their target language.

How do you personalize your tutoring approach?

Every student has a unique learning style and goal for studying Mandarin. I personalize my tutorials by assessing the student’s strengths and weaknesses, personal interests, and passions. This helps me customize each lesson in order to encourage confidence and motivation.
